Internal Evolution

– The Way is given from above. Teachers expresses that according to time and place. Don’t think you must find your own way. Travel the path but follow a guide who has been that way before. False teachers who wander of the path looking for their own way then teach that on to mislead others, create chaos.

– The Solar System is our home, Earth is a temporary place where we live. Planets are large energy fields. Planets have a Keeper who guards their boundaries. Humans are also energy fields. The Guide is your Keeper. Guides protect children but stand back if an adult deliberately goes against their guidance.

– Deep Mind, Higher Self, Divine Being. We are a triad of triads – Deep Mind and Higher Self intersect in the Deep Mental. Reaching the Deep Mental, the 3rd Initiation, gives direct contact with Solar realms and freedom from rebirth in the Physical-Etheric. The 4th Initiation takes you fully into the Solar realms.

– Connection is finest aspect of the training. You receive help through the connections you develop with beings 1 or 2 levels above your own. Higher forces seldom assist people individually (after the 3rd Initiation they do). But they’re drawn to come and help when groups of people train together sincerely.

– Behind every intention is a motive. Motive determines the quality of the intention which determines the quality of the connection. Higher beings won’t accept a connection unless the motive is pure. Once the connection is established, then gradually develop and refine your relationship with them.

– All true traditions use 1 or more of the deep body sensations to turn the mind inwards, then gradually deepen that into body’s energy field. We use all 5 deep body sensations. While moving we use joint, muscle and pressure sensors. While sitting we use tingling (pain), fullness (pressure), warmth (heat).

– Yogis, Daoists and Monks. Yogis refine the body’s internal functioning (heartbeat, pulse, temperature etc). Daoists refine the body’s moving functions (muscles, joints, pressures, etc). Monks deny the body’s instinctive functions (comfort, food, sleep, sex). Yogi and Daoist practices enhance and prolong your life.

– Master Huang spoke of a 4 year level, where a connection of the mind into the body is established. Also a 14-year level where the connection to the body’s intelligence is achieved. He meant people who trained perhaps 3 to 5 hours per day. Realistically the 4-year level might be reached after 8–10 years of regular training, and the 14-year level perhaps closer to 28 years, double the original time.

– In meditation, beyond the level of the deep body sensations, we use simple visualisations of a line of light, a cloud of light, or an image, to create an initial connection with another person or higher being. After the initial connection a deeper sense of the person or being replaces the visualisation.

– There are good teachers in the world but many more false teachers. Outer signs often associated with spiritual development may only be etheric side effects. You can’t trust the ‘self-certified’. Look for those who have long training with good teachers who themselves had long training with good teachers.

– The troubles of life are both a training and a test. The Guide observes your response and adjusts their guidance accordingly. If you maintain a deeper state as life presses in on you, the deeper self can assist you to manage the pressure. In mortally dangerous cases it may fully take full control of the situation.

– Train within your own Etheric field. Shamans, psychics and healers, all train to project their minds into the wider etheric world. There they come under the influence of Jinns, and others similar to themselves. You need a very strong internal state and to be well protected to be safe venturing out into that level.

– Concentrating on 3rd eye leads to Etheric. Abilities to read minds, see energy, see at a distance, heal or harm, glimpse past or future, can appear. That’s inadvisable. It does confirm the inner worlds but these etheric powers are a dangerous side path, a trap, on the way to the Deep Emotional and Deep Mental.

– We do train into the wider Deep Emotional realm. There the beings and forces you encounter are of a much higher nature than in the Etheric. Initially only connect to beings whom you know and trust. Sending light to others trains intention, while daily dying trains intelligence on the Deep Emotional level.

– Intention reveals what awareness hides. When you concentrate quietly you may feel you find a good, deep state, but then when you use intention you feel the good state is lost. The superficial mind was not really transcended, it was merely lurking in the background, then activated by the effort of intention.

– When you die, you experience a review of your life. It’s likely that’s only for those who are going to be drawn back to the Deep Emotional. When you review your life, you’re shown the important things in reverse order. You first see what happened, then looking further back you can see the causes.

– To remain in the Etheric realm after death is not a good end. Your Spirit withdraws, trapped in the Earthly Soul you gradually return to the Earth. It’s too late to escape, unless someone sends you light for a period of 7 years, gradually raising your energy level to allow the Spirit to reconnect, then reincarnate.

– Intelligence, awareness, intention. We first energise a level, then build awareness, then train intention, Then in use, it works in reverse. From a state of intelligent understanding there forms an intention, followed by awareness of the result, then intelligent understanding grows and the process repeats.

– Listening deeply within the body and the body’s energy field is an “intermediate state. It can grow to include a background sense of the Deep Emotional. While in this state, you can respond equally to occurrences in the physical world, as well as to occurrences in the deep-emotional world.

– What percent of your daily life do you spend in the ‘intermediate state’, quietly sensing the body, remembering yourself, so that you don’t so easily lose your sense of self in complex outside circumstances. That proportion would give a good indication of the relative strength of your Inner Self to outer self.

– The microcosmic orbit trains intention on the Etheric level. It sends energy to the central nervous system and extends your life. Breathing in, ensure the spine straightens slightly in response to the rising intention. Breathing out, sink deeper and focus on the light. The light is not the energy. It’s a way to focus intention.

– The main work between the 2nd and 3rd initiations is on the middle dantian. You first energise the Deep Emotions by lifting and expanding light from the lower dantian. Then you build awareness on that level and train intention. But awareness is not enough - you must resolve major blocks to progress.

– Distinguish the Deep from the superficial Emotions. An experience may begin unnoticed in the Deep Emotions, gradually stimulate the body’s hormonal system and later burst out in the more superficial emotions. During Daily Dying go back to such events and try to understand their deeper origins.

– Train Deep Emotional intention by sending out light. Begin with children, partners, parents, teachers. Then grandparents, grandchildren, other family members, close friends, students. The connection to your children is instinctively strong. For the child, that connection forms the basis of their life.

– Love for your children has an instinctive and a Deep Emotional component. The instinctive component will work to reduce selfishness, one of the main blocks to Deep Emotional growth. If you don’t have a child, you can still choose to work against selfishness through refining your close connections to others.

– When you split with a long time partner, the connection fades slowly. If you choose to send them light then you may allow the connection to persist, or mentally cut the connecting light, allowing the two ends to each withdraw back. To completely disconnect, mentally build a stone wall between them and yourself.

– The lower level of the middle dantian relates to how you respond to outer life. Don’t overreact to outer world pressures. Manage your outer life well enough to make a foundation for your inner work. Any major imbalances or negativities outwardly will be carried into the internal levels.

– The middle level of the middle dantian is concerned with your connections with other people. When you send light from the middle dantian, listen deeply for the result. Because there’s a veil covering the Deep Emotions, it would be difficult to sense a direct response from the other person on this level.

– The upper part of the middle dantian is concerned with how you relate to higher forces. Drawing light back down from the upper dantian will help energise the upper level of the middle dantian. The more you refine that level, the more the higher forces can come through to support the growth of the Deep Emotions.

– As you strengthen the Inner Self, the ego also becomes stronger. If spiritual pride develops, it will prevent you from seeing yourself as you really are, which will block the vital support from higher forces. To go forward you may need to go back to find a more clear, realistic and sincere self view.

– If you have reached the upper third of the middle dantian when you die, with the development of a 14 to 20 year old, you might be able to continue within the Deep Emotional level with no need to return to a body. If you die without passing the 2nd Initiation you go into a state of hibernation waiting to reincarnate.

– Inner Guide, within the Deep Mental is very distant. Your Guide isn’t concerned with your outer life – that’s for you to manage. They operate freely in the Deep Emotional, so understand you well there. The development of your Guide is linked to yours, so they are always 1 or 2 levels distant from you.

– Internal Guidance. Resting quietly in the fully activated state at the end of the meditation can be used to receive guidance. Once received then you must act on the guidance. It is that action that produces inner growth, not the listening for the guidance.

– Definitely don’t expect to hear a voice in response to your questions. Voices in your head are almost certainly an Etheric event – either your own imagination or some interfering low-level Being. A simple direct verbal command might be received, but that still comes through differently than a voice in your head.

– Concentrating on the upper dantian is only for people who have trained for at least several years. Doing so too early could lead people into trouble. Potentially most dangerous is sending light through the top of the head. That opens into the inner worlds. When connecting from there, it must only be to the Higher Self.

– Stay (semi) Normal. The teachers I knew preserved a semi-normal outward appearance, but internally they were each a little rebellious. Their internal level wasn’t easily perceived by undeveloped people. You can’t know the level of someone beyond yourself, but you can know that their level is higher than yours.

– Many people found it difficult to stay close to the old teachers, because it created a lot of internal pressure. It was difficult to “go to sleep” in their presence, and much was expected of you. You have to take advantage of that energy when it’s available, and then later carry it into your life.

Taiji

– Taiji arose from the Daoist temples. Recently discovered records at the imperial palace reveal Yang LuChan was first person to have his art referred to as Taiji. Taiji has always been more than a physical exercise. The myth of it originating in the Chen village is a recent creation. The term Taiji was used for the highest conceivable existence, long before people began using the Dao. Most of the old teachers, including Master Huang, Zheng Manqing, Ma Yueliang, were members of the Complete Reality School (QuanZhen).

– There are 3 levels of taiji, each with 3 sublevels. The first 3 sublevels work with the Physical-Etheric body. The next 3 sublevels work with the Deep Emotions, the final 3 with the Deep Mental – for these last 2 we use meditation.

– Continuous, deep training in the body creates a good foundation for later Deep Emotional work, which then remains the main training for a long time. This approach reduces the amount of interference from the superficial mind as you work your way down through the levels.

– In order to progress you need to change. When you attempt to do something that your body isn’t yet able to do, with a certain intensity, a part of your mind chemically marks this failed attempt. The mind then processes and refines it during your sleep. If you train deeply, slowly, that process can happen in real time. Only when you attempt what you can’t already do is there a chance for the intelligence to grow.

– It’s difficult to change the way you move. When training alone you tend to reinforce your existing state. When you train in the presence of the teacher your body learns directly from that experience. Then your level of learning, physical and energetic, is according to the state of mind you’re using at that time.

– Begin training same as meditation. breath in deeply while activating body, breath out close down the mind as if going to sleep, listen intently for sensation of body releasing, aligning, then gentle foot pressure.

– Two most important things, keep all parts of the body changing smoothly and listen deeply. Especially ensure the largest joints, shoulders and hips, never stop changing.

– An internal movement is defined as a distance of up to 4 inches, but 4 traditional Chinese inches is more like 12cm or 5 modern inches. It’s enough to cover the span of a fist. Internal movements are the movements that can’t be controlled from the outside. Someone may block your external movement, but they can’t prevent your internal movements and the power they carry.

– Lead newer students repeatedly through a refined process. Explain in great detail what to do. As they won’t yet have formed fixed moving habits, they have a fresh foundation for learning. Only for the older students, if you see habitual movements not changing, point those out and explain how to refine them.

– Each individual influences the training environment. If you train sincerely and intensely, then that contributes something to the group. Some people give more, and some people take more. After a period of intense training together, there is energy and help available to all. It stimulates your deeper self.

– Use 5 internal senses to train Deep Body awareness. Contraction & joint movement, release & joint alignment, stretch & increase pressure, unstretch & decrease pressure

– Use 5 phase muscle cycle to train Deep Body intention. The body has sensors in the joints, but you can’t use intention directly on the joints to change them. It has to come through the changes in the muscles. The body has pressure sensors, but the changes in pressure also have to come through the changes in the muscles. (It is possible to use intention to directly change the temperature in the body.) Most pressures involve contraction. The forces are much deeper than the pressures. The forces are connected to the stretches, which are closer to the 3rd level.

– 1st Loosening – as you pass central position, concentrate down to the foot, allow leg to bend slightly, but don’t let centre sink until about 2/3 through the turning. Gently stretching lightly activated muscles create elastic connection for centre to sink onto.

– 2nd Loosening – concentrate on loosening and aligning the spine as you breath out and sink. Use a downward intention of mind to lightly activate muscles connecting upper-body down onto lower-body.

– 3rd Loosening – phase one is pull turn waist ahead of trunk to max, 30–45 degrees as waist begins to turn back, pulling arm up, over and back (not as you sink forward and lift arm to front).

– 4th Loosening – same arm movement as taijiform. lift 15 degrees back, halfway up shoulders begin to sink, 2/3 up elbows begin to sink while hands moves towards ears, listen for stretch at front of shoulders.

– 5th Loosening – phase 1 neither bend nor straighten back leg so it acts as the radius of the rising circle – at the first levelling bend the back leg slightly to reduce the radius and connect. – overlap phases, (levelling off), to move from 2nd to 3rd timing. Phase 2 neither bend nor straighten front leg, it acts as radius of falling circle – at the 2nd levelling front leg bends slightly to reduce radius. Phase 3 bend both legs, small internal circle between phases 3 & 4.

– Train each of the loosenings against the wall, at least every several months. Experience the difference between the intended movement of the body, and what your body is actually doing.

1st loosening, foot, knee, hip joint and shoulder should all be aligned against the wall when you face 45 degrees.

2nd loosening, stand with back touching the wall, as you release and go down open the lower back, then the chest, then the back of the neck, so that spine aligns against the wall as much as possible.

3rd loosening, standing with shoulder against wall, body turned in 15 degrees, as the arm swings forward and back hand never leaves the wall, forming the shape of half the Taiji diagram. Shoulders open and close to keep elbows close to the wall.

4th loosening, roll up against the wall, bring one vertebra into position at a time.

5th loosening, with the heel against the wall, sit back so that the lower back touches the wall then slides down the wall a little as the front knee begins to bend.

– There is a close connection between the internal sensors and the body’s energy field. Energy stimulates the pain, pressure and heat sensors. Anything entering the energy field stimulates the nervous system.

– Connection – connect leg down to ground gives foot pressure, connect trunk on to lower body gives waist pressure, connect arms back to trunk gives hand pressure.

– Levelling off used to create empty and the full. The empty and the full is used to take control of the connection. By training the connection in the variety of exercises, the body’s intelligence will learn to manage the series of activations required for the connection, at faster and faster speeds. The connection is ideally so light that the partner could barely sense it.

– 7 pushes, when you change from one hand to another, lift the hand that gets ready to touch before the partner is fully forward. If the hand is properly activated, then the partner arriving onto the hand will cause it to stretch slightly, and a light, elastic connection will be formed. You use the partner’s force on their way forward to connect onto them and then you keep the connection as they go back.

– 7 Pushes. When retreating to a push from the partner, keep your power from the front foot for longer. Only sink into back foot when you sense the partner is ready to connect to their front foot. Use that moment with the connection into your back foot to draw them into the front. When you push and the partner sinks to their back foot, match their pressure by increasing the pressure between your foot and your hand.

– Connect on the way back with light elastic connection. Basic method is to retreat from the partner, try to “disappear” on the way back, and then advance towards them, to connect on the way forwards. It’s much more refined to bring the partner onto your intercepting point. This way, they are giving you their connection as you go back.

– Timings and Waves. The reason we can use the timings (to look ahead in time) is because things happen in waves. The peak of a wave is equivalent to body movement, the wave starting to rise is equivalent to forces in the body, and the water going down (before the wave starts to rise) is equivalent to connecting down.

– 3 Steps & Open And Close. When movements become faster, more complex, that’s when you see the real level of the mind to body connection. After stepping find the position again in the center - you need to be able to step in either direction. Don’t drag the feet. When you find the instances where it’s very difficult to change what the body wants to do, these are the real moments of training. It’s only then you have a chance to begin to interact with the body’s intelligence. The body wants to move in a way that conserves energy, but we want to move in a way that generates power. A superficial thought of doing a certain movement, is still hundreds of neural connections away from what the body will actually do. One way to train the intention is to gradually refine the body’s processes.
