Deep Mind
We all live simultaneously on 3 internal levels, but untrained people are conscious only of the external world. The superficial-mind looks out into the external physical world through the 5 external senses. That makes up 90% to 95% of your daily life experiences. All knowledge gained from that is of little use in finding your deeper Self. A lifetime of studying art, psychology or science – even Taiji or Yoga practiced externally – may bring you no closer to your True Self.
To go deeper
– Reduce external activity – relax body tensions, calm the emotions, quieten the thoughts.
– Direct mind inwards – concentrate on a deepening sequence of the 5 internal senses.
– Train over 3 levels – etheric, astral and celestial with awareness, intention & intelligence on all levels.
Your training level is determined by depth of Mind used and by how far you work ahead in time and space within the waves. The 3 timings initially relate to the 3 sublevels of the Etheric, but later may include higher levels.
3 Internal Levels with 3 Sub-levels
1. Deep Body level – based on Lower Dantian, basic body energy (Physical-Etheric, 精Jing, Earth). Appears when superficial-mind closes down or in the half-sleep state on waking or going to sleep.
– 1.1 internal movements – waves of movement perceived by joint and muscle-state sensors (contract and relax).
– 1.2 internal forces – waves of pressure and stretch perceived by pressure & muscle-state sensors (muscle stretch).
– 1.3 energising, activation, connection – waves of mind, energy and activation perceived by muscle-state, pressure and heat sensors as (‘fullness’ and ‘internal warmth’).
2. Deep Emotional level – based on Middle Dantian (Astral, 气Qi, Man).
Appears in intense life situations and in dream sleep.
– 2.1 reduce overreactions to external life – draw energy from Etheric to ‘wake up Deep Emotions’.
– 2.2 refine and intensify your connection to those close to you.
– 2.3 respond to Deep Mental influences and express them in your emotional life.
3. Deep Mental level – based on Upper Dantian and touches the Beyond (Celestial, 神Shen, Heaven).
– 3.1 3.2 3.3 Appears in major life situations or deep sleep, then later when past or nearing the 3rd-Initiation.
3 Aspects of Mind
intention, awareness, intelligence
Aim to refine Intelligent Being) within the Etheric, Astral and Celestial. When your subtle intention on any level is more refined than your ability on that level the resulting differential between subtle intention and awareness of the resulting process, causes intelligence to grow. Minimize the emotional reaction to this differential – remember that without it no progress is possible.
Intention is trained as a moving focus within a field of awareness. The initial awareness sets the level from which intention issues and on which intelligence increases.
Initially by listening to the same sensations as the Body’s Intelligence, then using intention on this level, you will gradually merge with the Body’s Intelligence (Master Huang: this takes 14 years – realistically double that).
Later, by becoming aware of the same Deep Emotions as the Deep Emotional Intelligence, then using intention to refine these inner processes, you may merge with the Deep Emotional Intelligence. There is a similar process possible on the Deep Mental level and much later within the Beyond.
5 Internal Sensors
The universal first step deeper is to first reduce the activity of the superficial-mind by closing it down as if going to sleep. Then actively turn the Mind towards your inner world by concentrating on a deepening sequence of the 5 internal sensors which connect directly into the Deep Body level.
– Pain sensors, indicate potential damage (out of alignment, forces too strong, over energised).
– Joint-position sensors, (large joints for external movements, small joints for alignment and internal waves).
– Muscle-state sensors, (5 phases of the muscle cycle producing 5 types of force).
– Pressure (and stretch or negative pressure) sensors – give some connection into body’s energy field.
– Heat (includes cold or negative temperature) sensors – give good connection into body’s energy field.
Pain sensors, joint sensors and muscle states of support, contract and relax, can be easily accessed by the quiet superficial-mind, so are only useful for the early stages of training. Concentrating on the muscle states of stretch and un-stretch along with pressure and heat sensors leads naturally to a deepening concentration within the body’s energy field which surrounds the body out to a distance of about 1 fist (4–5 inches, 10-12cm).
5 Phase Muscle Cycle
5 phases produce 5 types of power
– 1. contract (metal), muscle shortens and increases its tension
– 2. relax (water), muscle lengthens and decreases its tension
– 3. stretch (wood), muscle lengthens and increases its tension
– 4. unstretch (fire), muscle shortens and decreases its tension
– 5. support (earth), muscle lengthens slightly and produces a supporting tension.
Cycle Deeper – within each movement increase the timing of the 5 phase cycle to lead the Mind deeper, through the 3 Deep Body sublevels towards the Deep Emotional and later Deep Mental.
1. Ph.1 move, Ph.3 wave of expansion (0 – 1.1)
2. Ph.1 wave of movement, Ph.3 rising pressure wave (sublevels 1.1 – 1.2)
3. Ph.1 pressure wave – Ph.3 body's energy field (1 fist out around centre) (sublevels 1.2 – 1.3)
4. Ph.1 body’s energy field – phase 3 Deep Emotional (1 arms-length out around body) (sublevels 1.3 – 2.1)
On phase 4, holding back the body as the Mind extends or expands trains the 3rd timing (Mind 1 full phase ahead). Then on the deepest levels of practice phase 4 gives this sequence –
– Mind extends within the Deep-mental, then energy responds within the Deep-emotional, then pressure, stretch, fullness and warmth increase within the Deep Body level, then body expands in a wave.
3 Waves
Smooth waves of movement
Train intention by leading the internal waves with the Mind. Then by moving the Mind ahead of the body with advancing timing, we can deepen the Mind by concentrating on earlier more subtle aspects of those waves.
3 types of waves
– 1. lifting and sinking (longitudinal)
– 2. twisting (torsional)
– 3. bamboo bending (transverse).
The three types of waves each has 3 levels – energising, forces & movement. Also note the 3 types of waves are generated in the lower body, then produce a complex mixture of contracting, relaxing, along with passive & active double stretching in the upper body.
All waves are rooted in the foot pressure which is established by a small sinking of the centre towards the foot phase 5. That pressure then rises through the leg to smoothly move the centre, advancing or retreating, lifting and sinking, or rotating horizontally, producing 3 types of waves in the upper body with all joints and muscles changing continuously in response.
Lifting passes into the upper body through contraction and pressure.Twisting, generated by opening and closing the hip joints (kua), stretches the diagonal trunk muscles then passes into the arms through the opening and closing of the shoulders. Horizontal centre movements stretch vertical trunk muscles, in the back (when retreating) and the front (when advancing).
More passive stretch occurs in the relaxed arms trailing behind when retreating. More active stretch is produced in the lightly activated arms when sinking and advancing.
Double Contraction
The preliminary step to generate waves is to remove 'double contraction', where opposing muscles across a joint both contract, immobilising that joint, producing a rigid structure within the body to resist incoming forces but is incapable of gathering those incoming forces. Double contraction is an unrefined phase zero generated by the superficial-mind, which is unresponsive to a gentle intention to move, blocks the following 4 phases of the muscle cycle and inhibits the natural waves of movement.
Timing the 3 Waves
Each movement in the Taiji-form requires a different co-ordination between the 3 waves.
Usually, first begin to move back then begin to turn, when 1/2 back the mind connects to the back foot which activates the leg, then the body begins to level off (the back leg bends slightly which lightly stretches the activated muscles and creates a connection to the foot), when 2/3 back begin to sink towards the back foot.
As the centre approaches fully back it levels off in a vertical direction (the front leg bends slightly, the centre rotates a little, the shoulders begin to sink), then the elbows sink as the body advances.
Approaching the central position again the body levels off (accelerate the forward movement of front knee).
All waves converge in the central position so for postures like “Ward-off", "Press" or "Push”, sinking ends only when the body has advanced to the central position, while for single-legged positions like “Raise Hands”, sinking ends when the body is directly over the back foot, and for "Monkey Pushes Back" sinking ends with the sinking towards the back foot.
3 Types of force
Large Changes in Force
When stepping from one leg to another forces of perhaps 50 to 100kgs are generated, but very little passes through to the upper body (perhaps 5 to 10kg in each hand). People attempt to pass the force to the upper-body in the following ways:
Type 0, Upper body – arms used to push partner away from either an unstable or stable base.
Type 1, Extension – using foot as base, legs and arms are extended by strongly contracting extensor muscles.
Type 2, Basic Wave – leg extends as above causing a wave of stretch-unstretch-contract in upper body.
Type 3, Pure stretch – lower body stretches, then un-stretches producing rising wave of stretch-unstretch.
Type 1 is used (often with a spiral) in the partially efficient but hard martial arts such as Fujian White Crane.
The side path in Taiji of Type 1 force, which throws people but cannot absorb and return their force, is avoided by first clearly learning gentle waves of lifting, sinking & expansion, then adding pressure without losing the waves.
Gentle type 1 force is unavoidably used by beginners on phase 4 when first learning the Taiji-form.
Type 2 Force -- In Pushing-hands, and in the Taiji-form by the 2 nd year when beginning to train waves of movement, aim to produce and use Type 2 force (where contraction in the back leg opens the hip joint and rotates the centre as it advances rather than lifting it) which can absorb the partners force with the stretching muscles in the upper-body, can close the distance when the connection is too distant, is the efficient way to move our own body towards the partner while generating power, will throw people strongly but softly, and also trains the exact small joint changes required for the pure wave of elastic expansion (Type 3).
Type 2 force is sometimes (with less accurate timing between the lower and upper body) combined with momentum transfer. In this case the centre accelerates forward, then is stopped as it compresses the arms, then the arms unstretch (which may even push the centre back and down slightly).
Arising of Elastic Force
Very precise timing is needed with the 3 waves in the body to ensure the elastic force passes freely from the legs into the body then the arms. Each part of the body lifts, then hovers then begins to fall connecting to what is below, then continues down increasing the pressure , stops at the bottom when the pressure is maximum, then expands forward.
The wave of connection down sets the timing for the rising wave of pressure, which sets the timing for the rising wave of expansion or elastic unstretch. As the leg bends slightly the centre begins to connect, as the trunk aligns down the shoulders connect, as the shoulders sink down and back the arms connect. The centre, shoulders, elbows and wrists all continue to sink when moving into the central position.
Passive and Active Stretch.
Passive stretch is when sinews (muscle fibres, tendons, ligaments & elastic tissues) are pulled out towards their full length.
Active stretch is when muscles are gently activated, then elongated elastically by an external force. Yi can be used to control the muscle activation, which also indirectly controls the resulting passive stretch of tendons, ligaments & elastic tissues.
Passive stretch produces large transverse and twisting waves. Active stretch produces small waves.
Internal waves of movement – mind in same direction as body activates and deactivates contracting muscles.
Internal pressure waves – mind in opposite direction from body movement consciously activates stretching muscles.
Activating our Partners Body
Listening to forces is initially through pressure sensors, later also through stretch sensors. Then the body takes on a much lighter sense of an elastic pressure field. When the elastic force gently rises through the body, it passes into the partner and their body unconsciously takes on a similar energised, elastically activated state which gives us the connection (but if you touch the person roughly then their body will instinctively respond roughly).
3 Timings between Mind and Body
Advance timing of Mind ahead of body through the 3 timings – 0, ½, or 1 phase ahead.
– 1st timing – Mind, energy, forces & body movement together.
– 2nd timing – Mind, energy & forces (pressure and stretch) together, body behind.
– 3rd timing Mind, energy, muscle activation & connection together, then after forces and later body. 3rd timing can be further refined through the 3 sublevels – energising, activation and connection.
Timing within Phase 1
Rising Wave of Movement
– 1st timing - Mind and body rise together (Mind lifts about 2m from foot to head while body lifts about 10cm).
– 2nd timing - Mind rises to waist (listen for pressure in waist) before body lifts.
– 3rd timing - Mind to top of head (listen for subtle sensation of fullness at top of head) then body moves.
Timing within Phase 2
Rising Wave of Falling – Body falls in 3 sections (leg, trunk, arms)
– 1st timing – Mind turns down with first falling of shoulders
– 2nd timing – Mind turns down with first falling of centre
– 3rd timing – Mind turns down with first falling of foot
On phase 2 body drops sequentially from below. Foot falls, centre falls, shoulder falls, hand falls. This sequential falling of body from ground up can't be coordinated with the downward intention generated by the Mind moving down through body on phase 2 as in the 1st or 2nd timing, but it can be coordinated with the rising wave of connection in the 3rd timing. Dropping from below can also be trained as a separate purely physical exercise.
Timing within Phase 3
Rising Wave of Power
– 1st timing – mind concentrates on pressure in back foot as body completes its sinking
– 2nd timing mind rises with the wave of compression to concentrate in and around the centre passing up through each part of the body just as it is stopped by the maximum pressure (just as the water level rises while each drop of water flows down into a container then stops),
– 3rd timing – mind rises with the wave of connection to concentrate out into the sphere at arm’s length, passing up through each part of the body as it falls and makes first connection with the part below (as when lowest block removed from stack and emptiness rises as each block falls to connect on block below).
Timing within Phase 4
Rising Wave of Expansion
– 1st timing – Mind extends as centre advances, pressure and stretch in upper-body as wave of expansion begins to rise
– 2nd timing – Mind extends as centre pressure increases, rear hip joint advances and upper-body connects down through sacrum
– 3rd timing – Mind extends as centre connects down into ground and upper-body falls and aligns.
Yi – Training Intention
Intention issues from the level on which you are listening, but may either reach out on the same level, project into a more superficial level, or aspire to a more refined level. This is done while the intention extends, by changing the depth of the Mind so that the focus of awareness moves vertically through the levels as well as horizontally in space.
Looking ahead (in time or space) within a process to “the edge of your perception” leads the Mind deeper – then more subtle things appear and the learning differential increases in refinement and size.
5 Phases – 5 Intentions
A different intention is required for each of the 5 phases within the cycle.
1. Intention to move (strong intention to activate the contraction)
2. Intention to release, align and connect (gentle intention to release the muscles in such a way that the body aligns)
3. Intention to stretch and build pressure (deep intention which lightly energises the stretching muscles)
4. Intention to unstretch and expand (pure intention – empty of desire to achieve something)
5. Intention to connect into ground
Intention to Lengthen Muscle Stretch (3rd Phase)
When the body senses contact with the ground it instinctively increases the power in the extensor muscles of the leg, quickly stopping the body. Sending the Mind into the ground at this moment, while listening to the body sinking, modifies the intention the body’s intelligence produces, reducing the rate of increase of the tension in the lengthening muscles, which prolongs the stretching phase of the chain of muscles supporting the body. Training this clearly for 1 or 2 years alters the stretch phase of the otherwise unconscious instinctive muscle cycle, allowing the body to sink deeper. This gives more time and space in which to absorb the partners force and momentum. It also reduces the shock on the joints at each step when walking in daily life and minimises injury when miss-stepping or falling.
Given that the Mind moves almost 2 metres from head to foot while the body sinks, then with the Mind ¼ phase ahead of the body the Mind will have time to penetrate about 0.5m into the ground by the time the body finishes sinking (then it is said “the root is 0.5m deep”). With the Mind ½ phase ahead of the body the Mind will have time to penetrate 1m (½ the body height) into the ground (“the root is 1m deep”).
Intention to Strengthen Muscle Stretch (Phase 3)
Bringing the Mind back from the foot into the centre, while the body continues to sink, modifies the intention the body’s intelligence produces, influencing the strength of the stretching (rate at which the force increases). But if you incorrectly bring the Mind up through body in the same way you take it into the ground (while listening mostly to movement), then you will unintentionally cut off the sinking and shorten the stretching phase of the muscles. Only if the Mind has sunk deeper and is fully listening to pressure and stretch can you train the rising pressure without creating hardness in the muscles and cutting off the sinking.
Training pure intention on phase 4
1st on external level using eyes, then on Deep-body level using progressively, joint sensors, muscle changes, pressure, energy, Deep Emotional (light sphere). Deep Mental (pure intention)
1. Concentrate on some point in the distance, as when shooting an arrow.
1a. Move vision along ground out to the distance creates intention that changes direction.
2. Visualise a line of light, then intensify it as the power arises.
2a. Push out a line of light, intensifying it as it extends.
3. Expand Mind in all directions to form a sphere.
3a. Expand Mind, then produce swirling intentions within the sphere (multi-curved-intentions).
Big & Small Circles
Big circle, Small circle
Big circle is external circle where body moves on a curve externally through space with the 5 phases. Small circle is internal circle where each part of the body moves on a curve within the body, created by internal rotations. The small circle may be mainly in the central position (as in “Brush Knee & Twist Step”), or completely on the back foot (as in “Raise Hands” or all kicks).
Merging Small and Large Circles
First make the small internal circle bigger. Initially the small circle begins when in the centre. Gradually begin the small circle earlier on way forward so it begins to expand slowly towards the back foot. Meanwhile the front foot gradually withdraws to shorten stance and shrink large external circle. Small circle then gradually merges with large circle.
Small circle, which began in centre, ultimately becomes indistinguishable from circle on back foot. To make the small internal circle in the upper body larger, aim for long continuous sinking of shoulders – first shoulders begin to sink, then shoulders & elbows sinking, then shoulders, elbows & wrists sinking.
Partners Circle
When the partner advances and experiences our emptiness the partners force, which has risen from their back foot, passes down to their front foot. Then as their body settles the force rises a second time through their body as they attempt to move back slightly towards the centre. It again begins to connect into the back foot from where the force rises a third time as a stabilising force through their body. The small circle in our body can take in and return the partners rising force at any one of these moments – giving rise to the use of the different timings in the pushing hands.
Circles and Levels
3 timings and 2 circles are not directly related. While the 3 levels of training can all be trained in either the small or the large circle, usually we use the big circle for the 1st timing, include the small circle for the 2nd timing and the finally the 3rd level is ideally trained within the merged or partially merged small and large circle.
Timing in Pushing-hands
“Touch, Connect, Merge and Follow – don’t resist and don’t let go”
Pushing-hands, 3 timings
Mind in relation to partner’s movement. First Yield on the way back, then –
1st Timing - Connect on way forward, then small circle for pressure when they stabilise.
2nd Timing - Connect on way back, pressure & small circle on way forward (rear hip joint & front knee advance 1st).
3rd Timing - Connect & pressure on way back, small circle on back foot to issue.
7 Pushes -- stages of training
1. In 7-pushes, sit back, pressure gathers in foot – foot ‘flattens’, ‘fills’, becomes warm.
2. Then train pressure rising from foot to centre – listen for ‘fullness’ and ‘warmth’ in and around the centre.
3. Then train pressure rising from centre to point of contact – listen to pressure in partners body.
Small pressure sphere in back foot, medium in waist, large surrounds body. Medium sphere can be considered to be from foot to waist for pressure. Just waist for energy.
When pushing – advance the timing
1. increase pressure till partner begins to lift (contraction begins) – then drop centre to issue pressure wave.
2. increase pressure till partner stops (stretching phase ends) – then drop & rotate centre to issue.
3. increase pressure till partner is about to stop (signs of sinking close to ending) – then drop centre to issue.
Timing the Intercepting Hand
In the pushing hands, the intercepting hand or full point ideally touches the opponent just as the connecting to the back foot begins and a little before the sinking begins. Then the body flows down to the back foot, draining the strength from the empty point, while the full hand, still receiving the power of the front foot, touches up over and pulls slightly down to connect into the partner (2nd & 3rd timing).
If the timing is slow this connection may be done as partner retreats, then connecting while advancing (1st timing) use rising power from back foot to giving a slight pressure down & forward.
When to Send in the Mind in Pushing-hands
1. Mind goes forward with centre – good for training between 1st & 2nd timing.
2. Mind goes forward with rear hip joint and front knee - good for training between 2nd & 3rd timing
Listen For Partner’s Response
These correspond to energising, activating and connecting the 3 sub-levels of the third timing (3.1, 3.2, 3.3).
1. When hand first goes towards partner – they respond (very small).
2. When hand touches partner – they respond (observable).
3. When hand increases pressure slightly – they respond (obvious).
Etheric World
World in which we Train
In physical world our body (includes etheric shadow-body) is personal training environment created by our innerSelf for the purpose of learning. In Astral world Deep Emotional energy field is training environment. In Celestial world Deep Mental energy field is training environment. A bubble within the Physical-Etheric, Astral and Celestial realms is created in which we can experience and learn.
Internal Refinement based on Deep-body Level – Strong etheric mind is best basis for going deeper – it can balance superficial brain consciousness while living in normal life. One result of the hours and years of training will be to stabilise the awareness of the Deep-body sensations, so they are seldom forgotten even while busy in normal life. This is the first real step of turning the Mind inward and all deeper work is based on it.
Then using intention on this level – eg producing a strong intention to extend mind and energy to the distance in phase 4 of the Taiji-form – strengthens mind on deepest levels of etheric.
Then train between etheric and Deep-emotional, until the Deep-emotional grows and becomes strong and clear in itself. Then this in its turn can become the base to gradually shift into the Deep-mental. Even at a higher stage, but while still in a body, the strong base in the etheric keeps the connection to the Deep Mind while the body and brain consciousness are busy within outer life. The deeper and more balanced the development, the more difficult the situations of outer life in which this inner state can be maintained.
Energy conservation
– 3 ways to build the body’s energy
1. Increase deep-breathing.
2. Increase energy flow by moving mind through the body with intention.
3. Increase fluid (blood & lymphatic) circulation with internal pressure changes from lifting & sinking & moving gently.
The sleeping body produces excess energy. When the superficial-mind is active then the body’s energy depletes. Concentrating inwards through 1 or more of the 5 internal senses (rather than outward through the 5 external senses) reduces this energy loss. Then the efficiency of the body at producing energy can be increased by deep breathing, leading the energy, and using pressure changes to pump the fluids – so that the body may then produce even more energy than when asleep. But note that the Deep Emotions also affect the physical. Negative emotions can destroy the health of the body. A strong positive practice, such as sending out light to others, is perhaps the best way to transform negative emotions – which if otherwise left working (unconsciously or consciously) deep inside, may lead to physical illness.
Complex Training Situations
– When you can train pushing hands listening to forces (pressure and stretch) and the body’s energy field, then include listening in and around both people for some sense of the Deep Emotional. Then the Taiji pushing-hands becomes a more complex and subtle environment for training than the Taiji Form. First, this occurs while practicing with gentle, sensitive, partners, later even with rough partners. Finally, normal life surrounded by multiple unrefined people becomes the most complex and useful training ground.
Deep Emotional Sphere
Concentrating on the Deep-emotional Sphere
The Deep Emotional (astral) level is the centre of the 3 worlds in which we live and train. First concentrating on the body’s energy field, then sinking the Mind down to the Deep Emotional level while expanding it out to fill the personal energy sphere, draws energy down to that deeper level. This will gradually energise and activate the Deep Emotional level within yourself. Then using intention on this level, while listening to the results, will increase the Deep Emotional Intelligence.
Manage Emotions
Superficial-mind cannot manage strong emotions. Only the Deep Emotional Intelligence can do that. Processing of past difficult situations takes place mostly in dreams when superficial-mind not active.
Also at end of life and when out of a body further processing takes place. In Daily Dying you can process these situations consciously. If from the Deep Emotional you manage difficult life situations at the early stages, then only a gentle influence will be needed – not the large external forces required when things swing well out of balance.
To Train Deep Emotional
(Astral is wide world. Deep Emotional is same level within personal sphere.)
1. Draw energy up from etheric
2. Concentrate from one fist out to one arm’s length (1 span)
3. Send light to others – refines with your (otherwise unconscious) connections with others.
4. Daily Dying – from a deep state review past difficult experiences, understanding motives of yourself and others. Examine your present life in the light of your inner aims. Look ahead to purify motives leading into the future.
5. Remember dreams – self created bubble within astral
6. Bring energy back from deep mental
7. In easy daily situations, while not forgetting deep body sensations, see and try to understand motives of self and others
8. Disturbed situations – listening deeply in body calms body’s hormonal reactions revealing true deeper emotions.
Negatives
– reduce the following unintentional, unconscious, 'reverse' trainings
Blame others for your troubles.
Send negative thoughts to others (equivalent to sending out a black light).
Use internal knowledge for external gain (this may even include healing bodies, depending on motive).
Greed, Fear, Selfishness – Based on insecurity. Opposite to Deep Mind’s natural tendencies of Giving, Receiving & Sharing. Only growth of Deep Mind, which is the basis of internal-strength, can fully dissolve insecurity.
Group Energy
– When a group of people practice together with some intensity, Deep Emotional energy is stimulated and the body energies generated by the practice will go to that deeper level. “Old Teachers” who have died may choose to enhance the group energy field of those who sincerely train their methods. Individual ‘private’ classes are deficient in on these levels, so neither myself nor any of my teachers recommended them. Private classes are usually requested by those who want to ’buy’ more help or ‘extra secrets’, and are given by teachers who need money. In fact more internal help is truly available in the group classes and more information is available there also, drawn out by the students’ efforts to practice and understand the teaching.
Deeper Self feels Connected
Closely connected people activate the Deep Emotional level, parents, children, close friends, teachers, students, fellow practitioners. Without a good connection on the Deep Emotional level between teacher and student, the learning and teaching will have no depth. Emotions associated with less close people are usually superficial, but at times these may arouse, by association, something deeper.
Deep Mental & Beyond
Respect, Gratitude, Humility
Aim to understand what these mean on this high level.
