Talk#5 with Patrick

Earth in relation to the Solar System.
The Sun as we see it is a giant energy field. Its physical expression is a cloud of gas or plasma. Its energy field extends over and supports the whole Solar System. Without the Sun, almost all life in the Solar System would die. The planets absorb slightly more energy than they give out. That energy is stored as gradual warming of the planet, developing atmosphere and the various evolving forms of life. Without the Sun’s energy all planets would die – except Jupiter. The planet Jupiter is considered a minor sun because it radiates slightly more energy than it takes in. There are almost always two suns in each solar system, a major one and a minor one. The combined mass of our Sun and Jupiter is much greater than the rest of the planets combined. Planets don’t circle the Sun, they circle the centre of gravity of the Solar System. The Sun and Jupiter circle that same centre.

Your Spirit comes from the Intelligent Being of the Sun. Humans are rays from the Intelligent Being that temporarily manifests through the giant energy field of the Solar System, which we call the Sun. When we are born on the Earth we receive a second component, the Physical-Etheric ‘animal’ body. The Earth is another giant being. We are not our body and the Being that’s operating through the Earth is not a ball of clay and rock. The radiation coming from the Sun is deflected by the Earth’s energy field, as it radiates out through the Solar System. As we are only small children in this system, the Earths energy field nurtures and protects us. Actually the energy field of the Earth is tremendous and protects all life on Earth. Without that protection the radiation from the Sun is so strong it would wipe out all life on Earth. Only when you pass the 4th-Initiation, when your Being operates within the Spiritual Triad, does it no longer need the Earth’s protection. Then the whole lower system, the ego, is disassembled, deconstructed. You operate on the 3rd, 4th and 5th energy levels. When you die, you retreat into the Being of the Sun. Before that level you still need the Earth, the mother, to protect from the Sun’s power.

The Earth and everything on the Earth evolves. Animals evolve under the support of the Earth, they’re not directly connected with the Sun. Animals have a Group Soul on the Etheric level whose intelligence is provided by the Earth. On death their energy returns to that Group Soul. Humans are a special case, our Being is from the Sun but we temporarily occupy animal bodies. If humans cut themselves off from their Spirit, then like animals they fall back into the general pool of human energy – as for animals the individuality is lost.

Humans have an individual Higher Self or inner Spiritual Triad, on the 5th, 4th, and 3rd energy levels. The 3rd connects into the Deep Mental, which is the source of our true being in the 3 worlds of human existence. From its base in the upper sublevels of the Deep Mental, the Spirit branches down through the upper sublevels of the Deep Emotional to the upper sublevels of the Physical-Etheric, in the region of the pituitary gland. On each level it appears as pure Intelligent Being with little awareness or ability to act on those lower levels, due to the lack of internal growth on within each of those levels. Only at the level of the Physical-Etheric does some growth appear as the body develops from the newly conceived baby. That growth is guided by the Earth as a result of the general evolution of life on Earth. The Physical-Etheric system then allows the Spirit to develop awareness and produce intention, to act and learn on that level.

There would have been a time, when humans were no more than animals, that the decision was made to enliven them with a divine connection from above. The evolution of the ape brain was enough to accept the down-flowing connection from the Divine world. That first connection was at least 40,000 years ago, but we are not sure exactly when. From that moment the human intelligence, stimulated from above, accelerated away from the animals. That gave the possibility for humans to evolve back up through the levels towards the level of the Solar Being itself.

When you think feel and act in normal life, you don’t know it, but there’s a component of this very high part of you, that’s involved. So your thinking, your feeling, and your acting is boosted, even though it’s, as Master Huang said, it’s only 5% of your thinking, it's 5% of your feeling, it’s 5% of acting, but that 5% is very powerful. So we act feel and think in a way that’s completely different from animals. If you withdraw the Spirit from a person, all you’d have is a smart monkey with 3 times the normal neurons – you see that sometimes in the last few years of some peoples lives, when the Spirit begins to withdraw and they act just like animals.

There have been an unknown number of civilizations before the present one. This present civilization began 8-10,000 years ago. Before that was a mini-Ice Age which obscured the history, so there are only traces, of relatively highly developed civilizations before ours. Our present civilisation arose in Mesopotamia, then 6-8,000 years ago spread into Egypt, India and China. From Egypt it spread into Greece and North Africa, then through Italy and Spain into Western Europe. The Solar System has existed for billions of years. The last 10,000 years is the recent small cycle within a larger solar cycle – we have little knowledge of what took place earlier.

But we do know, immediately before humans was another group of animals that was enlivened from the Divine Sun in the same way, and the remnants of that group is the Jinn. The Jinn have the same Divine Source as humans. Once they withdraw from their evolutionary different Physical-Etheric system, they’re not essentially different than us. The Jinns failed to achieve their purpose as an evolutionary branch – I don’t know how long ago it was. A certain type of animal body, perhaps the best available at the time, was chosen to be enlivened by the descent of Solar Rays. The Jinn failed as a system because of the misuse of their Divine connection. After the point of failure, those not past the 2nd-Initiation dissolved back into the general pool of Etheric energy on their physical death, but the ones who were past the 2nd-Initiation withdrew back into the Deep Emotional, later to born again in the Etheric Realm but unable to regain a physical body. There they live, then die again into the Deep Emotional. Without bodies to return to, they are limited to develop under the general evolution of the Earth system, unable to access the path of accelerated inner development available to the few humans who choose that.

There is a way to pass from the Jinn evolution into the human one. If a person cuts themself off from their Spirit, and a Jinn is able to connect into that person, their own Spirit must withdraw losing its connection to past experiences. The Jinn can take over their evolution, benefiting from past life experiences and later after death, the reincarnate within the human evolutionary stream. Once in a human Physical-Etheric system they are no different from a normal human, because both are essentially embodied Solar Rays. If you see the Jinns as the same as humans on the most internal levels, then you won’t fear them so much or see them as so different.

You can contact the Intelligent Being of the Earth. The Earth is a very high being, much much greater than humans. It would be quite difficult to communicate directly with the Earth’s highest aspect but it’s a system, and so it will have intelligent aspects on different levels right down to the Physical-Etheric. The Earth’s Being on that level manages our body, manages our energy field, manages all Physical-Etheric systems within its realm. If you could get down to the very depths of your own Physical-Etheric Being, then you would be able to contact the Earth on that high level – there every disease has a cure.

The Deep Body Intelligence manages our system, designed to last about 120 years. If you could leave it to this deep management it would last 120 years, but all of the ills of humanity come from interference by the superficial mind, from the negative emotions, from the stupid things we do, you drink too much alcohol, you smoke too much, you take poisonous pharmaceuticals. They gradually reduce your lifespan by half, a little more or a little less. The body’s intelligence on this high level is in full harmony with the Earth’s Intelligence, which is the main power within the Physical-Etheric world. It’s not easy to access, but at least you know the possibility exists. Of course it can’t do it if you’re mismanage it from the Deep Emotions or if there’s something in the Deep Mental that’s causing it. If you’re repaying some karmic debt through your disease or illness, of course the Earth won’t interfere with that because that’s something that you need to go through.

The Earth as an intelligent Being can assist your inner growth. Most people when they pray to God are unconsciously praying to their highest part, to their Heavenly Soul (the Deep Emotions, the Deep Mental and above), which is connected to the Divine Solar Being. Our Earthly Soul connects with the Being of the Earth. In earlier cycles, people were more in contact with their Physical-Etheric Being, so naturally their prayers went out to the Divine Earthly Being. Whereas this last 10,000 years, religions and practices are directed toward the highest part of ourself, rather than to the Being in which we physically spend most of our time and energy.

The Earth can cure if it chooses almost everything in it’s realm. The Earth can also create disease. Everything on the Earth is created by the Earth, it’s all under its management, kept in balance. You know our body is 70% of the cells in our body are funguses, viruses, and bacteria, 70%. We’re 30% human, and the rest is funguses, virus and bacteria. Viruses, bacteria, funguses are all kept in balance. That’s why the thought that you must kill all bacteria, viruses, and funguses in your body, makes no sense. There’s a balance that’s required, and that balance is kept by the Earth.

It’s not clear why do we have diseases, but there’s a type of balance, why do we have these bacteria, viruses, fungi and so on, that are living in us and surviving with us. It’s kept in a balance by the Earth and the Earth can shift that balance subtly in any direction. It can increase the disease in humanity, it can decrease the disease in humanity. The Earth has complete control and it manages humanity like it manages all life on Earth. It manages the climate, it can push us into an ice age, out of an ice age. It can increase the population, decrease it. It can send waves of disease through or it can take them away. If you pray to the Earth, the Earth has an excess capacity because very few people these days look to the Earth as an Intelligent Divine Being, they just think they’re in control of the climate, they’re in control of the population, they’re in control of your health, they’re in control of all of these things. They no longer see that they’re just a very small speck in an immense highly intelligently energy field, that humans can’t really understand.

Earth relates to humanity as a mass of people, it doesn’t usually have a relationship with particular individuals, but if you make the attempt to evolve, if you enter the accelerated path of evolution, you rise out of the mass of humanity, then the Earth may assist you, individually, to do that – if you ask it. Past the 2nd-Initiation the Sun takes an interest. Past the 3rd-Initiation you pass fully under the guidance and support of the Solar Being. In each generation only 1 in a 1000 take an interest in inner work. Of those few million only 1 in 100 choose to really work on themselves. Of those few tens-of-thousands 1 in 10 reach the 2nd-Initiation. Of those few thousands 1 in 100 reach the 3rd-Initiation and 1 in 1000 continue on to the 4th-Initiation – that is 1 in 10 of those who reach the 3rd also reach the 4th in the same lifetime.

The 3 Divine Forces, (Father Son and Holy deep) enter the Solar System and initially express themselves through the 7th, 6th and 5th energy levels as the Divine Triad. They next express themselves on the 5th, 4th and 3rd energy levels as the Spiritual Triad. These are the 3 Forces of the Sun that constitute our Spirit. Finally they express themselves within the Deep Mental, Deep Emotional, Deep Body or the 3rd, 2nd and 1st energy levels as the Deep Mind.

These 3 Forces, operate globally but also inside us individually. Just as the Being of the Sun operates globally but there’s also these individual rays in each of us. The higher of these 3, which looks after the small number of people who choose the accelerated path of internal evolution, is in complete harmony with the Intelligence of the Earth, which besides the general evolution of all life also seeks the accelerated development of those who can later assist it in the management of the general evolutionary process. The 3rd Force of the Sun manages these people from the higher levels and the Earth from the lower levels. They are in harmony in a way that the other forces of the Sun are not necessarily so, because each force has its own field of operation.

Just as people beyond the 4th-Initiation can create and appear in a temporary body, the Earth also can appear to people, often as an animal. When one of the Old Teachers needed to contact the Earth for some special purpose an owl would appear and they would converse mentally.

Q: If we want to connect to the Earth, pray to the Earth, would the best level to do it from be where at the end of the meditation listening into the large sphere surrounding the body?
P: You can do it from any level but when you’re sensing and listening deeply into the body, at that moment you’re in more contact with the Being of the Earth than any other time, so that’s already a type of prayer to the Earth. It adds something more if you intentionally direct your mind to the Intelligence of the Earth at the same time.

Q: Do you have any information about the future of the Earth because many are saying that soon Earth won’t be able to feed all the human beings any more?
P: I only have the information that those scientists know almost nothing about the future of the Earth. They are trapped within their own superficial mindset. Back through history religious and scientific belief systems righteously preached immanent world destruction, due to humanity’s ‘sins’. In the 50s it was nuclear disaster, in the 60s food shortage due to overpopulation, the 70s and 80s the oil crisis due to overpopulation, the 90s the ozone layer. In the 2000s global warming and rising sea levels, 2010s CO2 levels and climate change. Gurdjieff spoke on this 100 years ago, calling it the ‘burning question of the day’. Every generation creates one – newspapers headline it, people worry about it, ‘experts’ arise to explain it, they predict humanity’s demise, then it dies away and is quietly replaced by the next ‘burning question of the day’. It is control through fear.

Q: Why has the population increased and why is it going to decrease again?
P: Half of humanity have come and gone through hundreds of lifetimes, with only a tenuous connection remaining to their Spirit. That 50% holds back the evolution of the general mass of humanity. With their Conscience almost fully buried, they create chaos, promote wars, cause death and destruction. Evolution moves in cycles and this cycle is in its closing phase. That 50% are being given a last chance to change, which is why there are so many people on Earth at this time. It is also why the internal level of humanity is so low. Religions are fading, spiritual teachers have largely withdrawn from Earth. Most of those 50% will be finally removed from the system. Soon the population will peak then fall away dramatically. The fall will be more chaotic for humanity than the rise. The proportion of older people will increase, the living standard of people will quickly fall, but the removal of the spiritually dead will more than compensate.

Q: Why is there only one type of Earthly Being at a time, supported by the Spirit of the Sun?
P: It’s an experiment in accelerated consciousness, a loving endeavour to pull a number of people out of this very slowly evolving system provided by the Earth. A proportion of the previous group, the Jinn, would have escaped but not enough to balance the main mass of the Jinn and save the experiment. We can only guess why only one species is chosen at a time. I’m giving you a simplified picture but the reality is sure to be more complex.

Q: Is there something analogous to the 3 Forces of the Sun, like 3 Rays of the Earth?
P: Yes there are, the 3 Rays or Forces penetrate every level. They can be called, Active, Passive and Reconciling, or Positive, Negative and Neutral, or Creative, Destructive and Harmonising. Each of the 3 Rays themselves have 3 aspects, following the same pattern.

Q: Can I ask about the centres of the Earth, like the Deep Emotional or Deep Mental?
P: The Earth is an evolving Being, and all Beings, all insects, plants, everything else on the Earth are part of that evolving Being. Earth has a negative part, which is what people usually call the Devil, but there’s no separate Being called the Devil. People mix the king of the Jinns and the negative ‘Devil’ aspect of the Earth. But it is not really in my field of knowledge.

Q: Cause I guess the moon is a Being as well?
P: The moon has an intelligent energy field which I also know almost nothing about.

Q: I read in Probings that the Earth can increase or decrease the population. There’s a lot going on at the moment, wars, disease, who’s to blame if the Earth does it?
P: The Earth has complete responsibility, but as humanity has a degree of free will, so humanity is also responsible. Earth manages all life on earth, including humanity, as a mass. Those who struggle to evolve internally act as individuals and take full responsibility for their actions.

Q: Is it correct that Abdullah thought that the next experiment in consciousness would be rats?
P: He speculated that as a possibility, perhaps to shock people, but it wasn’t intended as prophesy. He noted that on the atolls where they exploded some early atomic bombs, rats were the most intelligent animal to survive. If humanity tries to wipe itself out, it will probably be stopped, because that would destroy all future possibilities. I know with relative certainty, that nuclear war has been stopped in the past, but I don’t know with any certainty that it would be stopped again.

Q: Should we sometimes do the exercise where we pull up the energy from deep in the Earth?
P: Yes, correct, that was designed for connecting into the Earth. There’s an exercise where, standing, sitting or lying, we concentrate deeply into the Earth, draw a stream of energy strongly up through the body while breathing in, then expand it out into the large sphere while breathing out. That’s a prayer to the Earth. The central element of prayer is connection.

Q: You say the lifting and sinking exercise is a prayer. Is this a way for self healing also? Does it help to use intention to directly connect to the Earth?
P: Yes, it does. Master Huang created the lifting and sinking exercise but that last part of drawing up the light from the Earth is my addition. When you sense deeply into the body you connect your own energy field with the energy field of the Earth. In that state you can ask the Earth for help to heal your body. You can strengthen the connection with a directed intelligent intention.

Q: You said that you knew what brought the previous civilisation of Jinn down and I was wondering if you could say what it was?
P: To put it generally, it was an over-identification with their bodies.

Q: How does the yin–yang system fit in this, I mean you talked about the negative parts of the Earth, so I guess the yin–yang system relates somehow to the negative as well as the positive?
P: Yin–yang is a very general philosophical concept that can be applied on every level. In Chinese Yin–yang symbol is called the “taiji tu” (taiji diagram). The art of taiji was named after it. I extended that to yin–yang–yong, prompted initially by Gurdjieff’s explanation that there are 3 forces operating in life, but people are 3rd Force blind. They only see the obvious two opposing forces. The Dao De Jing states directly. Dao gave birth to 1, 1 gave birth to 2, 2 gave birth to 3, and those 3 created everything. But the yin–yang symbol only illustrates that partially.

Q: So taiji is a prayer to the Earth? That’s the base? Then we need to combine with the Sun?
P: Taiji is a prayer to the Earth. Taiji was given from the Earth’s intelligence. It absolutely strengthens the Physical-Etheric system. But if you allow the Physical-Etheric system to dominate you, you wouldn’t be able to build the Deep Emotional and Deep Mental. If it became too strong there would be a point of no return, an imbalance you couldn’t escape. When we bring part of that energy to the Middle Dantian and higher, that keeps a balance

Q: More prayer to the Sun is necessary? It needs to adapt in proportion to the amount of practice?
P: This system that we practice is designed to keep the balance. It’s based very strongly in the Physical-Etheric system, then uses that as the base for further development within the Deep Emotional and Deep Mental. That’s the most certain, most balanced way to return to our source, the Sun. You become an independent child Solar Being at the 4th-Initiation. By the 7th-Initiation you are a fully independent adult Solar Being and begin to interact with the Galactic Intelligence.

Q: Can the Being of the Earth sometimes appears as an animal in dreams?
P: The Earth could choose to appear as an animal in a dream, but it would be a very rare dream to come directly from the Earth. More likely animals in your dreams would represent some psychological aspect of your personality. The Intelligent Being of the Earth only appears for its own purposes, you can’t just call it up at will by some simple visualisation.

Q: What’s the next step in the development of the Earth?
P: I don’t know. The Earth is evolving as a Being as part of the Solar System. Humanity is like a side experiment, to accelerate a small part of the overall evolution of the Solar System and all in it.

Q: What part is Jupiter, because he’s the negative?
P: I don’t know, can’t say anything. It’s all on the edge of my knowledge. This is something you would need to investigate for a long time on a very deep level to know more about it.

Q: I was just thinking that perhaps we only ever see things in terms of ourselves, that the Earth as an extraordinary Being clearly has a range of Beings within that Earth system?
P: Yes, more than just humans. The Jinn are also children of the Earth. There are energy Beings, semi-independent aspects of the Intelligence of the Earth, who manage the whole system. There’s an energy network on the Earth. Energy concentrates at points with “ley lines” connecting those points, like our bodies meridians. Animals and insects recognise them and gather there. Humans do too, unconsciously, gather and create monuments, temples and even cities at those places.

Q: If the Spirit is our Higher Self, how does that relate to us as a Ray of the Sun?
P: Your Spirit is the Ray of the Sun, as a child is to a parent. The parent manages the infant fully, the child is given a little independence, the adolescent more independence and the fully grown child as an adult gains full independence. The Earth creates this Physical-Etheric system both personally as your body and more widely as the closed field of the Earth. Within that field you can think, feel and act, consequently learn and grow.

Q: The Spirit is part of this?
P: Yes, the Spirit is what’s powering you, the Earth just provides your animal body. If the Spirit withdrew, as sometimes happens when people become senile, then you’ll see the light of their Spirit fading, their ability to think, feel, even act is slowly taken away, the body degenerates back to its animal intelligence. The recent wave of dementia, even at an early age, is likely how the 50% who have lost contact with their Spirit will be removed in a quiet, peaceful way.

Q: Is there anything we should do to care for or to give back to the Being in the Earth?
P: Generally when you develop yourself or more particularly when you bring yourself into harmony with the wider Physical-Etheric realm, that’s probably the best you can do to give back to the Earth. Then you can also assist other people to achieve the same. Later you can help more directly the teaching force itself. At that level you may become a shepherd of humanity, assisting the general evolution of all mankind.

Q: If taiji was given by the Earth for all of humanity, why did some keep it as a family secret?
P: The origins of taiji are from the Daoist tradition. It was strongly associated with the martial arts, so because taiji develops power which can be misused it was kept in the inner school for people with a relatively pure motive. It was primarily the motive which determined whether you were trusted enough to enter the inner school. In earlier times members of your clan, your wider family, were most trusted, so teachings less often moved to outsiders.

Q: You mentioned if you train only the Physical-Etheric aspect of taiji that would lead to a lack of internal balance?
P: The Being of the Earth initiated the development of taiji a long time ago. Taiji was never just for health or just for self-defence. Its primary purpose was always the primary purpose of the Earth – internal evolution. It was given to humanity through the most internally developed people of the time. That’s why it works so well to bring the human system into a harmonious state.
