TaijiForm: two most important things, keep all parts of the body changing smoothly and listen deeply.

Meditation: Taiji arose from the Daoist temples, not from the Chen village. Yang LuChan was first person to have his art called Taiji. The records at the imperial palace show that when Yang live there his art so impressed the high officials that one of them wrote some poetry relating the Yang's art to the concept of Taiji.

Taiji has 3 aspects:

1. Self defense. Art of managing forces and energies of others.

2. Health. Deep breathing promotes circulation of air (oxygen); gentle moving promotes circulation of fluids; mind moving through body promotes circulation of energy.

3. Internal refinement. Mouniji: "The only way to the spiritual is through the deep-mental; the only way to the deep-mental is through the deep-emotional; the only way to the deep-emotional is through the etheric and deep-body level." Taiji turns the mind from the external world, back inside through the internal sensors and body's energy field. This first step is the hardest as the superficial mind is stronger than the deep-mind initially. Long practice at turning the mind back onto the body strengthens this 'intermediate state' which can then gradually be carried more and more into your normal life so that you don’t so easily lose your sense of self in complex outside circumstances.

Sat 12pm

Internal Refinement begins with turning the mind back inside, first finding the deep-body sensations and extending that into the body’s energy field (etheric level).

While moving the strongest internal sensations are from the joint, muscle and pressure sensors. While sitting quietly the strongest internal sensations are the tingling of the pain sensors, the fullness from the pressure sensors and the warmth from the heat sensors.

There is a close connection between the internal sensors and the etheric energy field. Energy stimulates the pain pressure and heat sensors. Also anything entering the energy field stimulates the central nervous system.

When the Mind becomes strong enough on the etheric level, then it can also look out through the external senses then it sees, hears, smells, touches and tastes into the most subtle levels of the physical world and even slightly into the etheric world.

Every internal level is connected to the one below and the one above but there is a barrier between the levels. All levels are part of one continuum but there are quantum jumps required to pass from one to another.

Sat 5pm

Train the etheric level within your own energy field. Shamans, witchdoctors, magicians, psychics and healers, all project their minds into the wider etheric world. There they come under the influence of Jinns, dead people, other shamans, witchdoctors, magicians, psychics and healers. You need to be in a very strong internal state or well protected to be safe venturing out into that level. Its not recommended.

Only on the astral (deep-emotional) do we recommend training out beyond our own borders into the wider energy realm. There the beings and forces you are likely to encounter are of a much higher nature. Even then initially only connect to people or beings who you know to be fully trustworthy. Later as inner strength grows on that level you can expand your range of contact.

If we trained out into the wider etheric world it would be easier to get confirmation of the reality of the inner worlds. Abilities to see energy, read minds, see at a distance, heal and harm, read the past and see into the future are all quite easily gained. But the result would be to be side tracked from the real aim, possibly for some lifetimes. To gain the ability to act consciously within the wider deep-emotional realm takes much longer. That means there is a long period of training, with some faith and some doubt.

Internal growth barely shows on the outside. The outer signs often associated with spiritual development in fact may be no more than ego manifestations. That makes it difficult to know who to listen to. I suggest only listen to those who have long training with good teachers who themselves had long training with good teachers before them. There are many good teachers in the world but there are many more false teachers. There are many who have some small momentary shock or awakening, then believe they are enlightened and go about telling others what to do. If they had been with some good teacher that teacher could have explained that this small awakening is just an outer manifestation of a small step on the long path to self-realisation.

Sun 10am

Don’t think you must find your own way. You must travel the path but you should follow a guide who has been on that path before.

The Path, Way or Dao, is given from above. Each teacher does their best to express that according to the society and times in which they live. The biggest problem that the true teachers in the world have, is the false teachers who wander of the path looking for their own way, then teach that on to others.

Rumi:

The Way is straight and well sign-posted.
To wander off brings great trouble.
To change the sign-posts
brings retribution.

Resting quietly in the fully activated state towards the end of the meditation can be used to receive guidance (resting quietly without first activating inside is not much use). Once received then you must act on the guidance. It is that action that produces inner growth, not the listening for the guidance.

Sun 3pm

Listening deeply within the body and the body’s energy field is an “intermediate state” which preserves a strong sense of self when otherwise lost in external life. This state is connected back out into the physical world and also connected into the deep-emotional world. When more complex events begin to occur in physical world we can immediately become active there. If more complex events begin on the deep-emotional side then we can immediately respond with increased activity there. If you are fully in the superficial state when these interactions begin, you may not notice until they have grown to perhaps unmanageable size.

We strengthen and wake up the deep-emotions by:
Drawing etheric energy up from the lower dantian
Pulling energy back from the upper dantian
Sending light out to others from the middle dantian
Daily dying – bringing the difficult events from the past into the deep state
Lucid dreaming while working against the negative emotions in the dream
Repeating a mantra (Buddha {?}) in the heart while in intermediate state
Resting quietly with the deep emotions fully activated
